Meh. I was expecting role player made maps to be available. Doesn't seem worth spending xv bucks on an 8 hr game lol. v bucks atleast

Get take a look at their kickstarter stretch goals. Lots of free content volition get in for the game without price change. Might consider it worth that much later.

A lot of folks are being really generous here. My showtime playthrough was approximately iv.v hours, and it took me around iv more than to get through NewGame+ and find all of the collectables. If y'all desire to get a sense of how long the master quest is, in that location is an accomplishment for speedrunning the game in 1.five hours, and a heavily optimised speedrun would likely hover effectually one hour. With that being said, it's still a wonderfully polished game, and it's my favorite game that I've bought in recent memory.

It took me 7 hours to complete the game. It wasn't Generous... it was reality... Also speedrunning isn't a gauge on how long a game is... People can speedrun games like 1001 Spikes in 14mins.. Adept luck finishing that game in four Hours....

I think the developer-endorsed 1.5 hour speedrunning achievement gives a pretty good estimate of level length. Essentially, if "y'all concur correct and don't make whatever mistakes," yous can blow through the game in 1.5 hours. Of course you're not going to be able to practice that on a first playthrough since each room contains a new and unique challenge, and at that place's enough of secrets to find, but I still think it'due south a pretty proficient metric of how "big" the game is.

With this in mind, games similar Mega Human X (similar genre to Shovel Knight, unlike 1001 Spikes) are around 35 minutes to speedrun. Then yeah, this game is "ii/3 times as large" as 10, which I remember is a reasonable estimate.

I just beat out the game similar five min ago. Took me 7 hours and 50 minutes, died 128 times. Games is fun equally hell.

8 hrs to shell for me, i died alot on a few levels haha

Im half fashion there on 2 hours so hopefully ill do it in six hours

My first full playthrough took a picayune over four hours. I then spent ii hours mopping upwards virtually of the Feats; all that's left is a NG+ deathless run and a not-quite-Depression% speedrun, and I'll have 100% completion.

Estimated time from showtime to end: 10 hours.

Game's pretty speedrunnable, though, if that's your thing.
